As a native of Walker, I am delighted to offer professional and confidential counseling to members of my hometown and surrounding areas. It's my hope to help my clients notice the joyful moments in their lives, both big and small! I am licensed with the State of Louisiana as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor. I hold a Masters of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

I am also a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in Psychology. I have experience working with all ages in both private practice and outpatient settings. I have worked with a multitude of struggles including depression, anxiety, relational conflicts, parenting struggles, trauma, and chronic mental illness. I am particularly passionate about helping adolescents learn to manage stress, cope with difficult feelings and transition into the next phase of life.

I am certified to provide Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction For Teens (MBSRT). In addition to my mental health training, I am a Registered Yoga Teacher.

Play is the language of children.
It can often be difficult for children to express big feelings using only words.
Therefore, our therapeutic approach often includes play and art which allow children to process feelings in a non-threatening way.
We work with parents to develop and implement behavior strategies that help calm the family environment.
Play and art therapy is often utilized with younger clients as a way of processing "big" feelings in a kid-friendly and non-scary way.
For adolescents, we use a variety of evidence-based techniques, all designed to suit the individual needs of the client.
