Since we opened our doors in 1985, South Shore Counseling and Psychological Services has always been focused on developing our patients' sense of emotional well-being, and restoring quality of life to the children, adolescents, adults, and families we work with. Our outstanding clinical staff consist of 30 psychotherapists: psychologists, mental health counselors, and social workers.

He is a Psychologist who received his doctorate from Hofstra University, and has focused his clinical practice on working with children, adolescents, adults and families.
Initially trained in Behavior Management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Therapy (RET), Dr. James has, over the years, been trained in numerous other approaches including Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Affective-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ACBT).
