Whether there are changes occurring in your life that you feel you cannot escape or changes that you wish to make, counseling can help. Counseling is a way of exploring different paths or different perspectives in reaching your personal goals or in facing unexpected challenges.

Counseling can take many forms but it is universally built on relationship and it can be challenging to find the right fit or to feel that your counselor really sees you, that deeper more personal you that perhaps you have only caught a glimpse of in passing.I strive to see people not only as the individuals they are but their connections and relationship to family, friends, community, and society.

I offer a holistic, compassionate, but individualized approach to care and strive to provide an oasis that allows people from different cultures, genders or sexual identities, ethnicities, and belief systems to pause; reflect, and draw forth their own strengths to face any challenges they face or changes they choose to make.
Services
My priority is helping you find the solution that works best for you.
By listening carefully and asking the right questions I work with you to create a tailored plan that addresses your needs.
I genuinely care about people and use a variety of modalities, theoretical perspectives, and techniques to create a strong therapeutic relationship in a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment.
I earned my Masters of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina in 2002 and a BA in Psychology from Erskine College in 1997.
I generally work with clients ages 12 and older but may see some younger clients on a case by case basis.
Regardless of race, religion, gender, age, or culture, I seek to provide a safe space that encourages open communication, healing, and positive change.
The mind, body, and spirit are part of the whole and changes in one, inevitably lead to changes in the others.
We all experience challenges in life and most of us will struggle with anxiety, grief, sadness, changes in our health, or conflicts in our relationships.
Weekly meetings occur 1:1 via face to face or video conferencing.
This involves clinical supervision of your current cases as a practitioner and may require that you occasionally video or audio record sessions for review purposes.
Group sessions involve a face to face meeting with your supervisor and other peers in order to discuss cases, ethics, assessment, treatment, and all aspects of licensure preparation.
Group sessions are also $150/hr with the cost of the session divided equally among the participants--e.g. 4 participants would pay $37.50/ea.
