I tend toward a mixed modality approach that focuses on transitions, support, increased awareness, guided meditation, homework assignments, and cognitive restructuring. A subject people struggle to discuss! I run groups and work with individuals to explore the man struggles (financial, marital, emotional) that are associated with the sometimes difficult process to grow a family.
In couples work I focus on the importance of communication, trust, and sexual awareness. Whether a couple is exploring furthering its relationship, or questioning the future of the relationship, I can assist clients in increased awareness and positive communication with one another. Being a parent is a gift like none other, but it brings with it a host of stresses and hardships.
I run groups and work with couples and individuals to focus on exploring and normalizing this. After completing my degree at Columbia University I entered the work force as a social worker, working with the homeless and children in foster care.
