On the outside, your life seems to be going well, with your work, with your family, but on the inside you are on a different track. Or your energy just seems to have completely gone, and getting through each day is a struggle. You want to get back to thriving and to move through life with ease, but you're just not sure how to make it happen. When we get overly stressed or feel like we're drained of all our energy, it can feel like we're fighting a battle with our own mind.

Therapy is about taking a step back and getting clarity on your mind, to see why we're feeling "stuck". It gives us the roadmap to understand what's truly holding us back, and then letting it go so we can rediscover emotions and freedom. Every day we live is valuable, and it makes sense to get back on the right track sooner rather than later. At Daybreak Counseling, we don't believe in putting on a "band aid", but actually helping you create true transformations that will get you on an upward spiral.

At Daybreak Counseling Center we believe in getting to the root cause of your pain so you can not only heal and overcome it, but also learn who you are for your own personal growth.
Services
The relationship you have with your therapist is critical in the efficacy of therapy and your overall experience of it.
Therefore before you even have a session, we make sure to fit you with a therapist who is the best match and can help you achieve your goals.
At Daybreak Counseling Center our mission is to provide unique excellence in two things: Mental Health Treatment and Personal Development.
As holistic therapists, we pay attention to everything that makes you unique as a whole person, not just your symptoms or current issues, and our goal is to help you uncover your true potential so you can lead a life that is worth celebrating and affirming everyday.
I am the founder and clinical director of Daybreak Counseling Center.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and an adjunct psychology professor at Long Beach City College.
I first began to study psychology and philosophy at California State University, Fullerton where I graduated with bachelor's degrees in both subjects.
My own struggles in life led me to these areas of study as I began to ask questions as to why I had made certain decisions in younger years and what illusory force was driving these decisions?
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a master's degree in counseling from California State University, Fullerton.
I have worked in substance abuse clinics, community based clinics and non-profit organizations.
Each setting has granted me experience and knowledge on working with different issues, including relationship issues, environmental stressors/adjustments, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol addiction, personality disorders and grief/bereavement.
I am a licensed professional clinical counselor and board certified dance/movement therapist.
I received my master's degree in Somatic Psychology: Dance/Movement Therapy from Naropa University in Boulder, CO.
My education incorporated a Buddhist mindful approach with a blend of western psychology.
My approach to psychotherapy and counseling is eclectic and holistic in that I believe in working and creating an individual treatment approach unique to each of my clients.
I am person centered but also psychodynamic in that I believe that the unconscious is an important door to lasting change where one can uncover the root of patterns of behavior.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and received my master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Krasnoyarsk State University in Russia.
After graduating in 2001, I started working in community mental health and now have over 17 years of experience in counseling and psychotherapy with adults, groups, families, couples, and children.
I am passionate about helping others and through my counseling work I have been able to support clients who were struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, work related conflicts, and issues.
