The world we live in is ever evolving, and with it, we are continuously trying to grow and adapt. Modern families are vastly different from those of previous generations. Rapid technological and social changes have significantly changed the rules and roles for relationships. It can be difficult to navigate the challenges that can arise from online dating, blended families, work stress, aging parents, LGBTQ+ issues, etc.

At Modern Life Counseling, we understand that the best approach is to acknowledge these real-time issues and assist with providing current solutions. Modern Life Counseling offers an insightful, compassionate and collaborative approach to help our clients live their best lives and enjoy thriving relationships. Therapy can help not only those who are struggling, but for those who want to improve all aspects of their lives.
Services
Welcome and thank you for taking a moment to learn more about me.
I am a wife for over 27 years, a mother of two adult sons as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
I was inspired to become a therapist after reading Harville Hendrix's book, Getting the Love You Want.
This book helped me to understand the relationships in my life in such a profound way, that I wanted to help other couples access the tools necessary to enjoy a thriving relationship.
Over the past ten years, I have worked closely with a diverse population of families facing varying complex concerns.
We will work together to identify a unique treatment plan.
Sessions are typically once per week and are approximately 50 minutes.
The frequency and duration of therapy may vary and will depend largely on your treatment goals and progress.
I provide a caring and confidential environment for clients to safely express their feelings, gain mental clarity, improve well-being, and increase productivity.
I actively work with clients to access tools needed to better manage depression, anxiety, grief, career challenges, parenting problems, academic difficulties, LGBTQ+ issues and more.
