Some of our clinicians are not only practitioners of Psychotherapy, but also trained as Expressive Arts Therapists. Our office has art supplies in every medium and we love helping children, teens, and adults discover what lays beneath the surface. Majica is a Licensed Marriage & Family Psychotherapist and Registered Art Therapist (MFC#45502). Majica is a Certified Emotional Focused Couples Therapist and a 5Rhythms Dance Teacher-in-Training and SpaceHolder.

Art therapy can be a powerful but gentle therapeutic media to work in and can help individuals to come to a deeper understanding of themselves and their lives.
It can prove a particular helpful way of working therapeutically for those who find it hard to express feelings or thoughts verbally.
It is not only for people experiencing emotional difficulty, but also for those who want to heighten creativity or enrich their life.
We see our purpose as a facilitator or guide of individual and group expression through art with clients of all ages with all levels of functioning.

As an Expressive Arts Therapist, I love to delve into all kinds of arts practices, which translates to cooking, gardening, dramatic arts, any kind of movement, meditation, mindfulness, every single possible modality of visual arts from sculpture, puppets and doll making, to pastels, watercolor, calligraphy, collage, mural, acrylic, fabric painting, etc.

As soon as you enter the space the music is playing and people are moving, practicing in silence.
From time to time the facilitator offers cues for focus: breath, body parts, weight, pulse, release.
Being in service is a beautiful thing in and of itself.and it is a natural gateway to community involvement and holding space, commitment to practice, financial assistance and possibly even artistry!
Crew is an opportunity to learn how to hold space for all participants as you grow your own capacity to orient, register and welcome students at the front desk.
You also learn the nitty gritty of set up and break down.
Sunday Sweat Your Prayers Crew: two crew arrive 9:15, leave by 12:30.
