Since I was young, I have been passionate about helping those around me and know I am happiest when I am able to support and care for others. Unsurprisingly, these core values and qualities led me to earn a Marriage and Family Therapist degree from John F. Kennedy University in 2013. Since then, I have worked for over 6 years in many different mental health settings and now specialize in anxiety, depression, grief counseling, relationship issues, life transitions, body image concerns/self- esteem, and stress management.
Like so many of us, I too have experienced bouts of anxiety and depression that have impacted my life. I want to normalize these thoughts and feelings for clients while also providing hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel. This work has shown me it is possible to achieve self-growth, manage symptoms and emotions in healthy ways and improve relationships with ourselves and others.
I am committed to those that I work with and encourage a telephone call prior to our first appointment so that I can best support you.

I believe that everyone has the ability to make positive change in their lives, and as a therapist, I see myself as a facilitator of change.
To help clients better their lives, I facilitate their understanding of themselves and the challenges they are facing, support them in finding motivation for change, and aid them in identify ways they can establish and maintain more positive ways of being.
To bring about the changes my clients wish to make, I utilize the qualities and techniques I have found helpful for clients.

When living with anxiety we tend to live in a world of "what ifs" instead of enjoying what is.
Anxiety occupies our minds and our bodies causing stress and doubt in our abilities.
To overcome anxiety, we must master a new way of thinking.
By improving our thought patterns, we can change how we feel and how we function in our lives.
Anxiety takes away the gifts of the present by distracting us with worries.
Our thoughts tend to center around imagined negative outcomes and prevent us from enjoying what may be right in front of us.
