Do you ever feel that you are alone and that the negative thoughts have taken over? Do you ever feel that you are not where you think you should be in life? We all struggle with negative thinking and need an outside party to help overcome the hurdles that are present. Life has a tendency to throw us curve balls especially when things appear to be going well.

I work with clients to help them to overcome their hurdles, curve balls, and negative feelings that are present. There is no perfect solution for all people so I work to develop an individualized plan to assist the process. I want to get to know you as a person and not just the symptoms that are present. This helps the counseling process become more lasting and beneficial.

Reaching out for help can be one of the hardest parts of the counseling session. Life happens so I make sure that empathy, respect, and positive communication is used at all times. I know what it feels like to be hurt, upset, and alone. I make sure that the counseling environment is safe and secure so that these feelings can be improved throughout our counseling sessions.

I realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.
I have heard people say that going to counseling means that they are "weak" or that they are "crazy".
This is not true.
Everyone could benefit from talking to someone.
Counseling is meant to help you to overcome the issues that are present which are causing you to feel down, lack energy, or have an increase of symptoms.
The difference is that family and friends can be a good listening ear but most are not trained or have experience professionally.
A mental health professional or counselor can help you approach your situation in a new way- teach you new skills, gain different perspectives, listen to you without judgment or expectations, and help you listen to yourself.
Not everyone is comfortable with in office sessions so J Reynolds Counseling provides telemental health services so there is more of an opportunity to receive services.
Individual telemental health services are provided to clients in that reside in the states of Georgia, Alabama, and Delaware.
This can be provided by reaching out to request an appointment through J Reynolds Counseling.
Jennifer is completing research on Emotional support animals (ESAs) and the use in counseling sessions.
ESAs can be a great resource to reduce anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues that are disabling an individual and not allowing them to live to his or her potential.
Jennifer also provides online ESA assessments through Certapet.
