Thank you for visiting my website and getting a glimpse of who I am. My name is Joy Boatman but most of my clients call me Dr. Joy. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist as well as a Life and Business Coach practicing in the historic neighborhood of South Park. I provide teens and adults with support for all of their life transition issue, such as death, divorce and deployment.
I have extensive experience with trauma and address such issues as domestic violence, child abuse, relational aggression (aka girl bullying), and cyberbullying. I run a successful after school program at numerous schools in the San Diego area addressing girl bullying issues and I am often presenting to small or large groups of students, parents, teachers, administrators or other professionals throughout North America on the topics of social media, cyberbullying or relational aggression.
