Counseling can be intimidating and it takes courage to take the first step. Lots of things in life can get us off track and achieving balance can be elusive. Please feel free to explore the services I provide and reach out if you think we will be a good team. Have you been struggling to find balance lately? Stress, depression, transitions, trauma, and anger all can knock us off balance very quickly.

We all struggle with day to day stress of juggling work, school, family, and friends. Add sleep, exercise and general physical health and we often are left with high expectations for ourselves. I work with you as a family and as individuals to cope with transitions and life stressors. I work on basic communication skills between family members with communication training to help improve dynamics within the family.

I also offer parent behavioral training to parents of children struggling with behavioral problems where I train you on evidenced-based strategies to help improve compliance and reduce overall behaviors.
Services
I am a South Carolina state Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) practicing in the Charleston area.
I received my Bachelor's in Psychology from the College of Charleston and Master's in Clinical Counseling from Wake Forest University.
I have worked in an outpatient therapeutic environment since 2016 with a variety of populations including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, ODD, domestic violence, anger management, parent training, substance abuse, executive functioning skills training, social skills training, and general life transitions and stress.
I offer a free phone consultation to begin the therapeutic process to ensure that we will be a good fit working together towards your specific goals.
Feel free to reach out any time at balancedbehavioralsolutions@gmail.com to inquire about a free consultation regarding the services I offer, my treatment style, or just to answer any questions you might have prior to setting up an appointment.
Please include your contact information, questions, and desired goals for therapy and I am happy to respond!
Asking for help can be scary -- it makes us feel vulnerable -- especially if we have been able to navigate difficult situations in the past.
Asking for help, however, requires a lot of strength and self-awareness and is something to be admired rather than looked down on.
Life comes with challenges, however, and there is nothing wrong with seeking extra support to get through those transitions and changes.
By asking for help and seeking therapy you are taking the first step towards change, which is accepting the struggles life as put in your path and making a commitment to making healthy life changes to tackle those challenges.
