Vicky Woodruff is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Maryland. Ms. Woodruff has experience working with most mental health diagnoses. With diverse experience in mental health, Ms. Woodruff specializes in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and major life transitions. With every patient she takes a strength based approach utilizing positive psychology.
Ms. Woodruff has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, among other modalities. She looks forward to working with you. Anxiety can come in many forms impacting an individual's ability to function in key areas of their life. This may come in the form of generalized anxiety, specific fears, or OCD to name a few.
Mood disorders encompass all issues that negatively affect your mood. This could be a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, major depression, or situational depression after the loss of a loved one, work, or following the birth of a child. These are just a few examples of reasons why you may be struggling with your mood.

My name is Vicky Woodruff and I was born and raised in Baltimore County.
I studied at Towson University for undergraduate.
I went on to work for the Mental Health Association of Maryland, a non-profit, that engages in a variety of issues regarding mental health consumers.
After this I decided to pursue a master's degree in social work.
I completed my MSW at the University of Southern California, graduating at the top of my class.
I gained experience working at a Partial Hospitalization Program in Pennsylvania where I treated a range of mental illnesses typically in an acute stage.

Just as in person I will work to foster a therapeutic relationship and develop a treatment plan that is right for you.

Please know that just as in person I will work to create a safe environment and earn your trust.
From there, you can expect the session to reflect much of what you would experience in person.
