Life is a beautiful journey. And as we journey through our lives, we go through a series of processes, stages and passages of development. Within this development, we all experience challenges, obstacles and emotional difficulties of one form or another. And, as we experience challenges and emotional difficulties, it is important to keep our lives in balance to continue moving on.

After all, why would we want to ruin the one life we have to live? If you wish to seek an alternative to what you have been doing thus far and to find out whether I could help you move on with your life, please call or email me and I am confident that we can work together to attain balance and congruence in your life. It is best to begin with a brief phone consult to arrive at your needs and to let you know about my approach and background.

If you feel confident to move forward with me, we can discuss fees and set the first appointment. I offer counseling and consultation for individuals, adolescents, and couples, and my main areas of focus are grief counseling, dating and relationships, adolescents, and late adulthood.
Services
As part of an excellent MFT traineeship in the mentoring program of the YMCA of the East Bay, I provided 230 hours of one-on-one counseling to adolescents and parents in underserved and diverse communities who were experiencing grief, depression, child abuse, relationship problems, abortion issues and other emotional difficulties.
Prior to that, I spent over 3 years as a caregiver to the elderly who suffered from depression and dementia, where I experienced humility and resilience.
In continuing my internship, I worked with the Mobile Crisis Team of Berkeley Mental Health for a year, where I had collaboratively worked with psychologists and psychiatrists in responding to on-call mental health crises via police radio.
A couple might be experiencing low to extreme problems and stressors.
These stressors may include financial struggles, intimacy issues, infidelity and trust issues, illness or death, domestic violence, an acting out teenager, dysfunctional communication interactions, and heated arguments.
The purpose of couples therapy is to offer alternatives to both partners for emotional healing.
I help partners understand what has been going on in their relationship, how each contributes to it and how it happened.
Counseling adolescents in their search for their identities amidst a wide range of relational issues and problems could help to find balance in searching who they want to be.
