In my practice, I have found that most mental health concerns are often a result of an imbalance in one or more areas of your brain function. This imbalance affects everything in your daily life. I can help strengthen your brain's pathways to support new ways of thinking and new positive behaviors. From these new pathways, your confidence, focus, and sense of well-being will be enhanced.

Your mind and body are closely connected, so a change in one area can be recognized throughout your life. When your brain is balanced, balance in life quickly follows. Deep down, you know that you have gifts, talents, and a unique personality that is valuable and exceptional. Sure, something is holding you back from who you want to be. Perhaps that something caused a rewiring of your brain.

I offer a unique and effective method of treatment that helps rewire the brain and unlock your true potential. Since I began practicing individual counseling in 2011, I have found it to be an important and very effective tool in providing the insight necessary to create change and personal growth.
Services
Your effort and courage to reach out and work toward self-improvement are to be respected.
I am interested in your story.
With a little humor and genuine attention, you will find the environment in my office is to be safe and comfortable.
Seeing a therapist is about helping you gain greater insight into yourself: how you deal with stress and trauma, and its implications on your relationships, career, motivation, success, etc.
My approach is warm, yet lighthearted.
Together we will identify the patterns that lead to unhelpful thinking and give you an enlightened perspective that will transform the way you view your past, your present, and your prospects for the future.
The changes you have tried have been band-aids, and you are realizing that surface solutions have led to surface improvements.
Even though that negative voice in your head is screaming that this is an act of weakness, reaching out for help is an act of courage.
Well, change is hard.
But therapy provides an ally and a safe place to help you explore you - as well as help you through the difficult moments and issues of life.
Your past has colored your present and altered your perception of yourself, emphasizing your weaknesses over your strengths.
If you are like me, you like getting to a solution quickly and concisely.
Drugs don't.
They throw a chemical at your body hoping some of it will get to the right place; hoping the rest of it doesn't cause too many side effects.
There is another, efficient, and non-invasive treatment called neurofeedback that directly addresses the actual source of mental health problems - the brain.
Yup, your brain.
You see, most mental health problems are caused by imbalances in the brain.
While your mental health struggles may be beating at you like a hurricane, neurofeedback helps to rewire and balance the brain, thus creating a more calm, focused, happier you.
Of the many wonderful and interesting aspects of neurofeedback, the brain map is perhaps the most insightful.
A brain map can visually show you the battle waging in your head between negativity and positivity.
It can help identify past trauma, your unique "fight" or "flight" response, and, among many other things, your cognitive strengths and weaknesses.
Quantitative Electroencephalography, or QEEG, is the most technologically advanced method for mapping the brain's electrical activity.
It analyzes your brainwaves at 19 different locations on the scalp and identifies which areas of the brain are performing optimally and which areas could use improvement.
EFM Training (Executive Functioning and Mindfulness training) is a neurofeedback method that I have developed over many years that is unique in its ability to correct brain patterns associated with self-regulation and improve mindfulness.
Executive functioning refers to the brain's ability to regulate our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.
It plays a role in regulating attention, addiction, anxiety, compulsions, depression, obsessions, oppositional defiance, PTSD, and many other neurological issues.
