My name is Dan Claussen, and I am the founder of Larch Counseling. I embarked on the journey of building a counseling practice because I wanted to create an environment and structure that would best serve the people we work with. We see everyone as unique and valuable, and I hope that after looking through our website, you will feel comfortable to begin working with someone from our team.

We help hurting adolescents, overwhelmed parents, disconnected couples, and everyone in-between find hope that things can be different in their lives. That life can be lived without a constant feeling of frustration, pain, sadness or being misunderstood. A life that is full of connection and lacks conflict. Once this hope is realized, I work with you to achieve this healthier way of living.

We believe people have a relationship with a problem, and are not themselves the problem. When we start from this viewpoint, we are able to work together to figure out ways to remove the influence of problems on your life, while at the same time building on your own strengths.
Services
Hurting Adolescents: A lot of change is happening in your brain as an adolescent as it is developing into a more integrated one.
There is also a lot of change happening in your social world as you learn to navigate peer relationships, family relationships, and many other social experiences in preparation for adulthood.
This can often cause pain for you, your parents, your family, or all of the above.
Sometimes the only way you have found to handle this frustration is by cutting or engaging in other harmful behaviors?
The therapeutic relationship is important, and because of that, we believe it is important for you to know a little about who you are working with.
Although we cannot paint a full and accurate description of who we are through these short texts, we hope the following will give you an idea of what it would be like to work with each of us!
The majority of my early life has been spent in the Snoqualmie Valley.
My family lived in Colorado for 4 years when I was younger, but other than that we lived between Carnation and Monroe.

Although we cannot paint a full and accurate description of who we are through these short texts, we hope the following will give you an idea of what it would be like to work with each of us!
My family has lived in the Puget Sound area for 5 generations, and on one side alone I have 13 cousins.
I spend time with family, friends, camping, and enjoying family activities, such as going to the zoo or children's museum.
