I am a professional, non-judgmental, passionate, and dedicated counselor, working with blended families, adults, couples, young children, and adolescents.
My multi-modal counseling approach is interpersonal, strength-based, and solution-focused, looking for options and solutions.
If you are experiencing interpersonal disputes, conflicts in a relationship, have concerns about your child, notice unexplained anxiety, depression, or experience struggles with addiction please contact me.
My areas of emphasis are: developmental psychotherapy with adults, families, same-sex couples, young children, foster/adopted children, adolescents, and LGBT individuals experiencing difficulty with: Non-conforming and Gender Dysphoria, depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, grief/loss, family conflict and career or life transitions.

Dr. Renee McFarland has served as the Kleist Health Education Center's Executive Director for the last 14 years.
The Kleist Health Education Center is located on Florida Gulf Coast University's campus in Fort Myers, Florida.
Renee taught health and physical education in the public school setting for 13 years before moving to the community health services environment.
Renee received her Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Currently, she is working as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern at Time Out Counseling providing psychotherapy services for children, teens, adults, and families with challenging mental health issues.
