Books and online materials are great tools to continue improving mental wellness outside of the therapy office.
Below you will find some of the resources that I frequently recommend to folks.
Extremely well-researched and well-argued books by Alice Miller exposing the effects of parental neglect, manipulation, and abuse on children, as well as ways widespread maltreatment of children contributes to mental disorders and adult violence.
A comprehensive work on psychological trauma and recovery from it.
