In counseling, it's important for clients to work with a trusted, knowledgeable therapist and to be acknowledged and valued for who they are. Sadness and depression show up in a variety of ways. Some people get angry and irritable while others lose energy and might have trouble getting out of bed or functioning. Regardless of how a client's sadness or depression shows, Kristen helps clients gain more energy, find more purpose, and overcome what is holding them back.

Having a baby is a huge adjustment. Add a slew of hormonal changes, and it's no wonder that Postpartum Depression and Anxiety are so common. Kristen offers a safe place for mothers to feel supported and helped through a very challenging time. Many clients find that having a place that is their own helps them feel better right away, and clients continue to feel better as Kristen's specialized approach helps them feel and function better so that they can enjoy such a special season of life.

Losing a loved one can be a very painful experience.
Services
From an early age, Kristen found that her warmth, kindness, and listening ear helped friends, family, and even strangers cope with the emotions they were experiencing.
As she grew up, she realized that becoming a counselor was a natural fit.
Kristen is trained in a specialized approach (Psychoanalytic Counseling) to help clients process their emotions, better understand themselves, and find purpose and healing in their lives.
Kristen has been working in private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2010.
Kristen Groos, MA, LPC, NCC is expanding to a group practice with the purpose of bringing together a diverse group of highly skilled, professional, empathetic counselors.
Licensed Professional Counselors with an interest in psychoanalytic ways of working with clients are encouraged to apply for this great opportunity to work with other like minded counselors.
Our goal is to provide a happy, healthy, enjoyable work environment for counselors to find community with other therapists.
We want to take on the burden many solo practitioners face like isolation, caseload building stress, and financial worries all while we help patients heal from the root cause of their pain.
