Couples therapy is helpful for enhancing relationships as well as for resolving problems. Some couples have been together for many years when they seek counseling, while others have been together only a short while.

I offer therapy to individuals, couples, and families, for difficulties ranging from mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, to life events such as relationship conflict and career decisions.
I provide short-term counseling for straightforward problems as well as in-depth therapy for longstanding struggles, and some of the issues I work with are detailed below.
Coming to therapy gives you a place where someone will listen without judging you and offer new ways of thinking about yourself and your problems.

I will best be able to answer your questions if you can let me know a few things: if you know whether you plan to use insurance, and if so, who your insurance provider is; whether you were referred to me by someone in particular; and whether you have scheduling limitations or have flexibility about when you can come in.

When starting therapy for the first time, people often ask how long it will take or how many sessions they will need.
Because feelings and relationships are highly individualized and complex, there is no way to know for certain how to answer such questions.
However, a therapist should be able to give you some idea of how treatment for your presenting problem usually works.
Once you begin counseling, you and your therapist will periodically talk together about how it's going so that you'll understand the time frame and about how many more sessions you will probably need.

If you have insurance that you would like to use to pay for therapy, you should confirm that your policy benefits include outpatient psychotherapy and that your insurance company doesn't require you to see one of their therapists.
Most insurance policies will not cover couples or marital therapy.
Is there a limit to the number of sessions or the total dollar amount that my plan will cover?.
Billing is handled by Renee, my office manager; she mails bills out monthly.
Any portion of your bill not covered by insurance can be paid by check, cash, or credit card.
